2.1 Rated voltage
Rated voltage is a reference voltage used for cable design and electrical property test, and identified with Uo/U and Um in the standard. The meaning of the symbols is defined as per JB/T 8996.
UoVirtual value of the rated voltage between conductor used for cable design and metallic shield or metallic sheath, kV;
UVirtual value of the rated voltage between conductors used for cable design, kV;
UmVirtual value of the highest working voltage for equipment, kV.

2.2 System classification
The cable included in the standard is applicable to oper- ating in System A regulated in JB/T 8996.
2.3 Working temperature
2.3.1 Permissible continuous operating maximum tempera- ture of conductor is 900C.
2.3.2 Maximum Short-circuit (the longest continuous time is no more than Ss) temperature of the conductor shall not exceed 250 0C
2.4 Bending radius
When installing cable, the minimum bending radius is commonly 25 times of the cable diameter.
2.5 Operating environment
2.5.1 When installing, the cable can be laid with no limitation of fall difference along the route under adequate mechanical tension, but it should not be permitted to be laid in pipe of magnetic material, and not permitted to be fixed with annular iron hardware around the cable.
2.5.2 The ambient temperature under installation should not be below 0 0C.When the cable temperature is below 00C,it should be heated to 0 0C or more in an appropriate method.
